E-Z DO Brings A Needed Breath of Fresh Air to the Closet Category
Innovative Febreze®-branded Storage System Keeps Closets Organized, Fresh-Smelling
Edison, NJ, January 8, 2008: Believing clothes should smell dryer-fresh even months after they've been cleaned, E-Z DO, Inc. today introduced 15 Febreze® Closet Renewables™ branded closet organization and freshening products that keep consumers' clothes organized and smelling like they just came out of the laundry. E-Z DO has entered into a licensing agreement with The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG) to leverage the Febreze brand name on this unique line of closet accessories.
The innovative new system consists of 12 Closet Renewables Organizers and three versions of disposable Freshness Inserts. The Freshness Inserts, included with each organizer and also sold separately, slide into each organizer or hang from a closet rod, hanger or hook. They last up to one season and neutralize musty, stale tobacco and body odors that sneak into consumers' closets from dirty laundry and shoes.
"We spent nearly two years with Brandscape perfecting the technology that effectively removes common closet and household odors from closets and clothes, and provides a hint of Febreze freshness at the same time," said Jim Zellner, President of E-Z DO.
"Our consumer insights revealed a surprisingly high incidence of re-washing or dry cleaning clean clothes just because they didn't smell clean a few weeks or months later," said Nick McKay, CEO of Brandscape, LLC, who joint ventured with E-Z DO to commercialize Febreze Closet Renewables. "This new system not only helps with household organization but saves consumers time and money by eliminating the need to rewash clean clothes."
Product Features, Advantages and Pricing
The new assortment of Febreze® Closet Renewables™ organizers consists of eight traditional closet storage devices and four soft-sided bins of various sizes. Each organizer includes a starter set of Freshness Inserts. Six of the organizers hang from closet rods or over doors, and six can sit on shelves or floors.
Included in the assortment is a 6-Shelf Hanging Sweater Refresher, 10-Shelf Hanging Shoe Refresher, Single Dress Refresher and Single Suit Refresher, a 12" Multi-Garment Refresher, Jumbo Storage Refresher, Jumbo Underbed Refresher and an Over-the-Door 10-Pocket Refresher. Additionally, a Sweater/Shoe Refresher Box and small, medium and large bins round out the assortment and provide solutions for virtually every organizational challenge.
All Febreze Closet Renewables organizers close with either zip or velcro fasteners and are constructed of durable polyester, which easily wipes clean but has the added benefit of resisting odor absorption, forcing the odor molecules to collect in the Febreze Freshness Inserts. Small, strategically located panels of non-woven material allow for breathability. Perhaps best of all, the organizers feature frosted front panels or tops that allow consumers to see and identify contents but reduce the appearance of closet clutter.
The key to the odor-elimination system lies in disposable Febreze Freshness Inserts that consist of a layer of non-woven material carefully extruded with a patented combination of chemistry, resin and fragrance, mounted to a stiff paperboard to allow for easy insertion into and removal from Febreze Closet Renewables Organizers. The number of Inserts that can be used in each organizer varies from one to 10, depending on the size of the organizer and the consumer's preference for fragrance intensity.
"Consumers have varying appetites for fragrance," said McKay. "To accommodate their individual preferences, we designed the products to accommodate varying numbers of inserts, resulting in fragrance intensity that can be adjusted by each consumer from very subtle to noticeable."

Febreze Freshness Inserts will be available in the three most popular Febreze scent offerings (the original Extra Strength™, Linen & Sky™ and Spring & Renewal™). Each inserts lasts up to 90 days or one season, depending on use and household conditions.
Febreze Closet Renewables will be available at all Bed, Bath & Beyond stores in January and chain-wide at Target and Zellers mid-year. E-Z DO manufactures and distributes these new products under exclusive licensing agreements.
